With an open living style running throughout the en-suite, dressing room and eventually leading onto the master bedroom, it was important that the rooms were very minimalistic and lent themselves well to the existing design of the master bedroom.
In order to prevent narrowing the dressing room area, we chose to fit built-in handmade wardrobes which allowed us to maximise storage but also not impede too heavily on the floor space of the dressing room.
By having the same wood effect floor tiles in both rooms, not only do the wood grains' elongate the rooms (if you want to achieve this with wood or wood effect flooring, be sure to lay your planks in the direct that you wish to create the illusion of longer, wider, bigger' etc). By allowing the flooring to flow seamlessly through the two rooms and not installing a door threshold, it softens the joining of the two areas and actually opens them up meaning you don't have to worry so much about the rooms feeling cramped.
You can also achieve this by matching the styles of the room so there is almost a boomerang effect like our customer has done here with the blinds, notice how your eye bounces back from one blind to the other - subtle but clever. We've also connected the rooms by keeping the gold accent consistent throughout.
Moving into the ensuite which comprises of; a Burlington open back toilet, Burlington freestanding double ended bath with Burlintong tap and shower mixer, Burlington, double basin vanity unit complete with Burlington taps and finally, the bespoke and custom made shower panel recessed into the ceiling with the walk in shower complete with shelf and Burlington concealed dual shower.
Our team completed all of the work within these two rooms including the underfloor heating, flooring, plastering, electrics, as well as the supply and installation of the fixtures and fittings including the bespoke built-in wardrobes.
